Who is ThriveEd?

ThriveEd partners with schools to deliver high-quality education that balances academics and character development. St Luke’s College is one of several ThriveEd schools, alongside Broadacres Academy and Skye College.

What is St Luke’s connection to Bishop Bavin School?

There is no formal connection between St Luke’s College and the former Bishop Bavin School. ThriveEd purchased the facilities from the previous owners, and we are building a new, independent school that honours the site’s rich history.

Admissions & school structure

When does St Luke’s College open, and which grades will be offered?

We open in January 2026 for students from Grade 0000 to Grade 9, with Grade 10 to Grade 12 phasing in over subsequent years.

What curriculum does St Luke’s College follow?

We offer the IEB (Independent Examinations Board) qualification, ensuring an internationally recognised standard of academic excellence.

What are the school hours?

Preschool: Start at 07:30 – half day, three-quarter day and full day options available.
Preparatory and High School: 07:30 – 14:00.

Does the school follow a four-term calendar?

Yes, St Luke’s College follows a four-term calendar, aligning with other leading private schools.

What is the fee structure at St Luke’s College?

St Luke’s College is committed to making high-quality private education accessible. Our fee structure is designed to offer exceptional value, providing world-class facilities, and a rich academic and co-curricular programme at very competitive rates.

School life & facilities

What sports and cultural activities are offered?

Sports: Athletics, swimming, tennis, cricket, rugby, soccer, basketball, netball and chess.
Cultural Activities: Choir, public speak and debating.

What does the school’s Christian ethos include?

Our Christian faith is woven into daily life at St Luke’s. This includes daily / weekly faith-based activities, service projects and outreach opportunities. All students participate in faith-based activities as part of school life.

What is the Thriveway Programme?

Thriveway is a structured programme developed by ThriveEd to ensure that schools provide high-quality academics, social-emotional learning, and strong character formation. It is externally assessed to maintain teaching excellence, leadership development, and a nurturing school culture.

Student support & practicalities

Does St Luke’s College offer aftercare and holiday programmes?

Yes. Aftercare runs from 14:00 – 17:30 for students up to Grade 7.
Holiday care is available during school breaks but excludes a portion of the December / January holidays.

Does St Luke’s College offer transport services?

A bus service is being investigated. More information on this will follow soon.

Is there a cafeteria service?

Yes, our cafeteria offers a selection of nutritious, whole-food meals that can be pre-ordered. While meals are not included in the preparatory and high school fees, preschool learners receive meals as part of their daily programme.

What is the school’s approach to discipline?

At St. Luke’s, our practices are grounded in Restorative Discipline. We see mistakes as valuable learning opportunities rather than reasons for punishment. When conflicts arise, we help children recognise the impact of their actions, take meaningful steps to make amends, and rebuild relationships.

How does St Luke’s approach technology and media?

We encourage intentional, educational technology use, ensuring students engage with high-quality, age-appropriate content. From Grade 8 onwards, students will require personal laptops. A laptop levy, not included in school fees, will be applied.
